Halberg Pacific Appraisal Service is a family business founded by John V. Halberg in 1972. Greg Halberg joined the firm in 2006 and has been the sole owner since 2017.

Typical commercial appraisal assignments include conservation easements, partial takings, industrial properties, office buildings, medical offices, retail buildings, motor hotels, shopping centers, gasoline service stations, apartments, condominiums, special purpose properties, and miscellaneous other properties and appraisal problems.
Residential and land assignments include waterfront land and residences, unique high value residences, residential developments, planned unit developments, recreational land, timberland, agricultural land, and residential appraisals for mortgage purposes.
HPAS currently emphasizes valuation for estate planning purposes, but all assignment types are within the scope of practice.
Clients include individuals, attorneys, land trusts, tribes, government agencies, corporations, timber companies, financial institutions, and mortgage lenders.
Experience with report formats includes Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions (UASFLA/” Yellow Book”), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO), other USPAP compliant narrative reports as well as Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Veterans Administration (VA) and residential form reports for lenders.
